Experience South Africa at Savor Blowing Rock through history, wine and skype with by one of the countries renowned winemakers as he leads you through tasting amazing South African wines.
Your trek begins with a Method Cape Classique sparkler and a focus on Cape Town, the Mother city’s 300+ years of wine history. Imagine yourself in Dorrance Wines new urban wine cellar located in one of Cape Town’s most iconic buildings where the old world setting merges with a unique city winery. Now imagine enjoying 330 Years of history with one man’s love of wine at Groot Constantia’s where history tells us how he established the first wine farm in South Africa. Off we trek on a short bus trip to Stellenbosch & Swartland for a taste of the Wines of Jordan. Unique by Nature’s Design, the Jordan slopes face North, South, East and West, with vineyards lying at differing altitudes from 160 to 410 m above sea level. Off to Devon Valley, for a taste of Great Western Wine one of the best regions for Bordeaux varietals in South Africa.
Now, imagine yourself trekking to Franschhoek, Hermanus, Hemel-en-aarde, and end at Cape Agulhus. We suddenly jet off to safari where you hear the roar of Africa, the thundering sound of shaking ground as you enter the Hide’s underground cellar, sipping your newfound wine, surrounded by the waterhole, you realize the taste and sounds of Africa calls.
