Take a break from the day, and relax and enjoy High Tea, with two Johnson & Wales Professors. We will explore proper brewing techniques, types of teas and the fun foods that are served at High Tea. Guests will not only learn some fun facts about tea with Marcella, but they will enjoy Chef Stewarts homemade scones served with JWU very own Chef Megan Lambert’s, Garnet Gals Jam.
Marcella Giannasio, College of Culinary Arts, her certifications include Foodservice Management Professions, through National restaurant Association, Certified Hospitality Educator, Court of Master Sommelier, Level 1, Wines and Spirit Education Trust Advanced Wine and advanced Spirits, and she is the first women to receive the Hospitality Grand Master thorough the Federation of dining Room Professionals.
Quientina Stewart, College of Culinary. Chef Stewart has held positions in both front and back of the house, at private clubs on cruise ships, and in resorts before calling Johnson & Wales University home. Chef Stewart truly understands the sweet and savory sides of the kitchen. She is a Certified Executive Pastry Chef, with the American Culinary Federation, and is a founding board member of the Carolinas Mobile Food Coalition, a nonprofit mobile food advocacy group serving the Charlotte Metro Area.
