Seminar at Sunset & Vine: Amador County: A Wine Lover’s Paradise
May 2 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm$26
Amador is old vine country; over 500 acres of the county’s vines are at least 60 years old, and several vineyards date to the 19th century. Nestled in the heart of Gold Country, this region is known for its rich history and rich reds. The region is defined by the cool Shenandoah Valley in the northern part of the county, where vineyards stretch from 1,200 to 2,400 feet above sea level. The rolling hills feature soil suitable for varieties like Barbera and Sangiovese, as well as more robust varietals like Zinfandel. In this seminar we will discuss the history of Amador County wine while tasting several of the wines from this area. Doug May will lead us through this seminar. Seminar at Sunset & Vine.
